Celia Montague is a painter based in England and works between studios in Oxford and Venice.

Celia Montague is a British artist who lives and works in Oxford and Venice.  She was formally trained at Heatherley's School of Drawing and Fine Art as a portrait painter, and then studied for two years at the Prince's Drawing School . She is represented in London and Hungerford by Cricket Fine Art, and in Woodstock, Oxfordshire by the Zuleika Gallery. Her landscapes are painted en plein air, and in bad weather in England she has the aid and shelter of her beloved painting van. One of the pleasures of painting her portraits always with the sitter present is the friendships that these beget.

 Colin Dexter:

"You have a gift, to get who the person is on the canvas, and that is very rare".

 Neil Dudgeon:

"You have biopsied my soul.......I would urge anyone, especially anyone with an interest in art or in themselves, to spend as much time as possible with Celia Montague and if you can get her to paint you into the bargain, you will have a heavenly time!"
